The Gateshead Housing Company's Board is made up of five local tenants, representing all of the borough, five councillors and five independent members.

Current tenant board members:

• Malcolm McKie (Beacon Lough)
• Stanley Dawson (Sheriff Hill)

Council board members:

• Angela Armstrong (Bridges, Central)
• John W Hamilton (Chopwell and Rowlands Gill)
• Paul Foy (Lamesley)
• Peter Mole MBE (Wrekendyke)
• Kathryn Ferdinand (Teams)

Independent members, who live, or have business connections:

• Barbara Dennis OBE - Board Chair

Board meetings, which are open to the public, are held bi-monthly. The dates and venues of meetings are publicised through the local media and The Gateshead Housing Company's own quarterly newspaper.
