Bill Fullen - Chief Executive
Bill Fullen, Chief Executive of The Gateshead Housing Company trained as a general practice surveyor. After working as a Housing Advice Worker for Tyneside Housing Aid Centre from 1983 to 1986 he arrived at Gateshead in 1986.
He held various posts including Avenues Agency Manager, Neighbourhood Housing Manager, Development Officer, Assistant Director and Director of Neighbourhood Operations.
In January 2004, Bill was appointed as Chief Executive of The Gateshead Housing Company.
He is a corporate member of the CIOH and was Branch Chair in 2002. He was a member of Shelter’s Board from 1984 to 2001.
Bill is also the lead officer from The Gateshead Housing Company on the West Area Forum working with Gateshead Council and a wide range of partner organisations to improve services in the neighbourhood.

Elaine Snaith - Assistant Chief Executive
Elaine Snaith, Assistant Chief Executive joined the company from Gateshead Council, where she was Special Advisor to the Chief Executive of Gateshead Council.
Previously she was Head of Community Support in Gateshead Council following a year spent at the Government Office for the North East as Local government Advisor.
Before that she was Manager of Regeneration and External Funding, Manager of the Policy, Research and Programmes Section and had various policy officer posts at North Tyneside Council.
This followed a varied early career as a counsellor working with women and girls who were survivors of sexual abuse, a community arts worker and a teacher.
She has been involved in numerous voluntary organisations and Boards including Tyneside Women's centre, chairing Newcastle Community Law Centre throughout the 1980's and Gateshead Primary Care Trust Professional Executive Committee in 20002/03 and is now the Chair of the Community Energy Solutions NE Board in September 2007.
Her current role includes leading on Performance Management and Service Improvement, leading our work on Diversity and Equality, Tenant Involvement, Customer profiling and learning and development together with Leading environmental and sustainability work and steering through the Investors in People accreditation, lead on corporate initiatives like work life balance, mentoring scheme and introduction of performance clinics.
Elaine is also the lead officer from The Gateshead Housing Company on the South Area Forum working with Gateshead Council and a wide range of partner organisations to improve services in the neighbourhood.

Peter Burchall - Director of Property and Technical Services
Peter has worked for The Gateshead Housing Company since it was formed in 2004.
Peter is a Chartered Civil Engineer and worked for Northumberland County Council before joining Gateshead Council.
He was responsible for the Council’s Public Works Department when The Gateshead Housing Company was being formed and subsequently transferred to the company.
As Director of Property and Technical Services his key responsibilities are:
- The delivery of the Repairs and Maintenance Service
- The delivery of the Decent Homes Programme and associated environmental works.
- Health and Safety issues across the company.
Peter is also the lead officer from The Gateshead Housing Company on the Central Area Forum working with Gateshead Council and a wide range of partner organisations to improve services in the neighbourhood

Jon Mallen-Beadle - Director of Finance and ICT
Jon has worked for The Gateshead Housing Company since Oct 2006, joining the company from Tristar Homes.
As Director of Finance and ICT his key responsibilities are:
- Responsibility for ensuring corporate governance
- Financial management of TGHC, including the Company’s annual revenue budget of £30 million and overseeing the Company’s £330 million Decent Home programme
- Responsible for the development and implementation of the Company’s ICT Strategy
- Strategic lead on ensuring all services the company provides to its tenants represent value for money.
Jon is also the lead officer from The Gateshead Housing Company on the East Area Forum working with Gateshead Council and a wide range of partner organisations to improve services in the neighbourhood.

Neil Bouch - Director of Housing Management
Neil has worked for The Gateshead Housing Company since 2004.
During his career he has worked for The Tyneside Housing Aid Centre, Manchester City Council, Irwell Valley Housing Association, Home Housing ‘Johnnie’ Johnson Housing and Gateshead Council.
As Director of Housing Management his key responsibilities are:
- Overall responsibility for the delivery of Housing Management Services.
This includes, Tenancy Management, Rent and Income Management and delivery of the HomeChoice and Void Management services.
- Strategic lead on managing Anti Social Behaviour services and delivery of the Respect Standard for Housing Management
- Leading on the delivery of estate based services which includes Caretaking and Concierge services, the Handyperson service, gardening services and partnership working with Gateshead Council on grounds maintenance services
- Leading on the delivery of Housing Management Services to Older People.
Neil is also the lead officer from The Gateshead Housing Company on the Inner West Area Forum working with Gateshead Council and a wide range of partner organisations to improve services in the neighbourhood.
