The Gateshead Housing Company is helping residents to manage their stress levels, with a free ‘Managing your stress’ course at Gateshead Clubhouse on Thursday 17 November, from 1.30pm to 3pm.
The course will explain how to recognise the first signs of stress, and how it can affect mental health.
Residents attending the session will also learn about the different types of anxiety, what can trigger them and tips to manage day-to-day pressures.
Involvement and Diversity Officer Helen Watson said: “This is a great way for people to find out more about managing their stress.
“The pressures of day-to-day life can often lead to stress and anxiety and this course will explain how to recognise the first signs and deal with them effectively.
“The session will provide residents with practical tips to use in their day-to-day lives.
“Our priority as a landlord is to help our tenants to sustain their tenancy and this course will help address some of the other pressures that tenants can face.”
The course is part of the company’s Moving Forward training programme, and is open to anyone who lives in Gateshead. Support to attend is available, including transport and interpreters.
