Title: Free Gardening Course From Housing Company Date: 01/05/08 Gateshead residents can pick up handy tips about gardening thanks to a free course from The Gateshead Housing Company.
The housing company’s course, which will be delivered by B&Q, will take place on Tuesday, 6 May, and will offer practical advice on gardening basics such as planting tubs and troughs. The gardening course will also look at how to create hanging baskets and floral displays, for residents who have limited space for plants. The free short course will run from 10.30am to 11.30am and anyone interested in taking part should call 0191 433 5357 or e-mail: involve@gatesheadhousing.co.uk B&Q gardening is part of the new 2008/2009 Moving Forward training programme - a series of free courses organised by The Gateshead Housing Company to encourage tenants to become more actively involved in future housing decisions. Mark Johns, Involvement and Diversity Manager for the housing company, said: "The gardening courses that we provide are very popular with Gateshead residents.
