Title: Free Course Explains £330m Home Improvements Plan Date: 04/05/08 Gateshead residents can take part in a free course that explains how The Gateshead Housing Company is spending over £1m a week on improving local homes.The ‘Decent Homes’ course is taking place on Wednesday, 14 May, from 5pm to 7pm, and offers residents the opportunity to find out more about the standard that the housing company is achieving as part of its overall £330m improvement plans. Attendees to the course will be given details of the work that is carried out to homes and will find out how they can help the housing company to make the service even better for thousands of customers in the future. The course is one of 34 being held by the housing company as part of its 2008/2009 Moving Forward training programme - a series of free courses to encourage tenants to become more actively involved in future housing decisions.
