Tenants of The Gateshead Housing Company aged over 50 can get small tasks done around the home.
The Small Task Team is run by The Gateshead Housing Company and partner Morrison Facilities Services Ltd (Morrisons).
It helps older people remain independent and confident in their own home by offering a handy person service.
The labour is free, but you have to supply the materials.
The Small Tasks Service is part of the Link up in Gateshead scheme, that brings together services for people aged 50 or over across Gateshead.
The scheme offers free help and advice on a range of activities including:
Leisure, friendship and support, benefits advice, your community, home tasks, safety skills and employment learning.
