Tyne and Wear Homes: Outline
Tyne and Wear Homes is a new housing partnership that brings together Gateshead, Newcastle, North Tyneside and South Tyneside Councils, and their respective housing organisations, and aims to offer customers more choice when looking for a home to rent in the region.
With demand for social housing being so high, it is hoped that the new scheme will make it easier for customers to see the range of homes that are available to them.
Some key facts about Tyne and Wear Homes:

You can apply for housing in more than one area

All homes will be advertised online, and in a newsletter available to view in housing offices and some libraries

Depending on which area(s) you are interested in, you will be assessed against that local authority's lettings policy

You will be able to move between areas more easily.
