Estate Tours
Tenants and leaseholders who want to play a part in making their own estates and homes even better are encouraged to get involved in Estate Tours.
How will this happen?
Estate Officers will act as the 'eyes and ears' of our estates. They will tour all estates, blocks of flats and sheltered schemes on a regular basis, along with scheme officers and caretakers where appropriate.
They will identify any issues that affect the appearance of the area and take appropriate action to remedy.
This will help provide a clean and well-maintained environment on your estate.
We promise:
- To tour all estates including sheltered housing and blocks of flats on at least a bi-monthly basis
- Residents will be encouraged to accompany the Estate Officer during these tours
- We will promote the dates of all Estate Tours in housing offices, in our regular newspaper and on our website
- Written feedback from Estate Tours will be provided to residents within ten working days of the Estate Tour taking place.
When will Estate Tours take place?
Dates of future tours at all estates, multi-storey blocks and sheltered accommodation units across the borough will be published in our regular newspaper, 'The Gateshead Housing Company News'.
