Apply for a Community Fund grant

by The Gateshead Housing Company & filed under News, On your estate - our Community Fund.

The latest round of applications for our Community Fund is now open.

Earlier this year, we celebrated our Community Fund reaching a milestone of £500,000 in cash grants which have helped charities and community groups across Gateshead.

If you run a group that works with housing company tenants, why not apply for support too?

The fund, which is managed by the Community Foundation Tyne & Wear and Northumberland, would
particularly welcome applications from groups who support the health and wellbeing of our oldest and youngest tenants, and help with issues around welfare reform, poverty, and hate crime.

If this sounds like your organisation, apply now for a grant of up to £5,000 (this could be in cash or to the value of in-kind work that we can offer).

Since 2007, we have invested half a million pounds in organisations that support our residents. Another £250,000 worth of ‘in-kind’ work has also been provided by us and our partners to make physical improvements to community centres and other spaces.

We have helped a wide variety of groups from health and wellbeing sessions for Gateshead Older People’s Assembly to equipment for the young members at Gateshead Team Gym.

Apply at the Community Foundation website before Monday 17 December 2018 or email Jon Goodwin at the Community Foundation for more information.
