The Gateshead Housing Company is inviting budding gardeners to a free course this March.

As the warmer months draw ever closer, residents can take part in ‘Summer gardening’ on Friday, 20 March between 10.30am and 12.30pm.

The free course will offer green-fingered attendees advice on preparing their garden for the summer months.

Involvement and Diversity Officer at the housing company, Helen Watson, said: “This popular course is back again to help residents make the most of their garden and get it ready for summer.

“So call us on 0191 433 5357 or email involve@gatesheadhousing.co.uk to find out more.”

The course is open to anyone who lives in Gateshead and support is available, including transport and interpreters.

The ‘Summer gardening’ course is part of the company’s free Moving Forward training programme that gives residents the opportunity to learn new skills, meet new people and improve housing services.

The new Moving Forward programme is coming soon – for more information call 0191 433 5357.
