The way we deliver housing services is about to change. From April 2021, Gateshead Council’s housing stock will come back under its control. All housing management and maintenance services will be delivered by the Council, as part of a new vision for housing in Gateshead.
Re-integrating housing services back into the Council is the first step on our transformational journey, and we are keen to include our customers every step of the way. As part of this commitment, we would like you to help us shape the repairs service of the future.
Based on what you have already told us, we are making several changes to improve the overall customer experience. This includes improving IT systems, van stock, the number of first-time fixes and the time it takes to repair empty properties.
We are hosting two one-hour information sessions to share these plans in more detail. During these sessions, you will have the opportunity to provide feedback on our plans, suggest further improvements, and ask any questions you may have.
The sessions will run virtually, via Microsoft Teams, on the following days:
