The Gateshead Housing Company’s Construction Department undertakes operational delivery of Construction work on behalf of Gateshead Council which includes, but is not limited to, Domestic and Commercial New Build and Renovations to Commercial and Domestic Properties

An opportunity has arisen for an Administrative Assistant to join the Construction Department with the Property and Assets Directorate.

The purpose of the role will be to undertake administrative duties for The Gateshead Housing Company to meet the Property and Assets Construction department.  To act as a central point for all administration for the department. Provide general administrative assistance to the overall service including monitoring post, filing, photocopying and ordering stationery and other relevant duties Accurately administer all referrals and triage to appropriate teams within the service. Updating internal IT systems and records. Preparation of Operating Manuals for Construction projects, as well as data entry.

It is essential that you will be an experience administrator with good IT and interpersonal skills and desirable that you are used to working in a Construction or repairs and maintenance environment.

You will have Minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent at Grade C or above or relevant experience.
