The housing company recently gave tenants and leaseholders the chance to meet others who already ‘get involved’ to help make housing services better.
An involvement Taster Day at Gateshead Civic Centre allowed residents to find out more about how improvements have been made from customer suggestions.
The event gave residents a flavour of the ways to get involved, including:
- Mystery shopping
- Becoming a Board member
- Taking part in focus and service improvement groups
- Going on Estate Tours
- Free training courses the housing company provides.
Helen Watson, Involvement and Diversity Officer at the housing company, said: “Ever since the housing company was set up ten years ago we have involved customers in helping us to improve our services.
“Many of the ways to get involved take very little time to do – but can have an enormous impact to the lives of thousands of other people in the borough.
Customers wanting to know more about getting involved should call the housing company’s Involvement Team on 0191 433 5357 or email email@example.com
